MASK E3 School-based Programs

MASK’s E3 Program aims to engage, educate and empower audiences with  knowledge, resources and tools to make safe, healthy choices. The E3 Program brings a comprehensive approach to educating parents and students from kindergarten through college and is designed to present the latest trends and information at an age-appropriate level. Through MASK’s E3 programming, parents and students will be “in the know” on issues and trends and, most importantly, students will learn tools, tactics and strategies to deal with issues and peer pressure first hand. The programs provide empowerment, support and tools to help nurture overall health.

MASK’s E3 school-based program builds social and emotional skills in children, while helping the school create a positive climate and atmosphere in a manner that helps teachers and school administrators meet educational standards. A school-wide approach to positive social-emotional skills creates an education environment that prepares children to be “ready to learn”.

MASK provides communities, schools, teachers, students, and families with evidence-based social-emotional skills-building tools that meet educational standards in an easy-to-use format. This customized year-long programming is based on contemporary trends as it relates to the challenges faced by today’s youth and their families. MASK’s goal is to improve school climate, build healthy children, and strengthen parent-child bonds through psychoeducational information, classroom-based activities, practical tips on helping parents understand their child’s experiences, and education on current trending topics through MASK The Magazine and MASK’s E3 school program.

MASK’s approach recommends three assembly-style workshop presentations per year (Fall, Winter, Spring). MASK school-based programs consist of three workshop topics including Relational Development, Digital Solutions, and Health and Wellness: Relational Development focuses on social skills; Digital Solution focuses on technology safety and cyberbullying; and Health and Wellness focuses on healthy lifestyle choices to prevent substance use and improve health. MASK offers at least three developmentally-appropriate presentations in each workshop area, targeting positive skill-building for students in grades K-12.  Each presentation includes easy-to-implement reinforcement activities that align with educational standards, which reinforce the learning that took place in the presentation about the specific skills to improve school climate.
